The recording is fine but the software to register the recording to the computer is incredibly stupid and useless. What you have to do is always check your recordings on the software canon provides in the box. I have a SRL camera and i was expecting the same quality product from canon. Very disappointing.

I can’t comment on this product as it was a gift for a family member.

I bought this camcorder and took dozens of videos of my newborn…. just to find I can’t take them off the camcorder to my mac. It flat out doesn’t recognize the videos. The still-image software works for mac, but not the video software. So if you want this as a digital camera, go for it. But if you want a camcorder, this is NOT your product! Don’t learn the hard way like me!

I found the Cannon FS10 video camera a difficult transition from VHS or Cassette cameras. It simply has more features that I will ever use. The operating manual is clear and helped me work my way through the features. The FS10 works perfectly and would be my choice again.
