I bought this camcorder so I could take videos of my kids’ sports teams. After 3 weekends of tournaments (and 15 or so hours of video, this camera was perfect for me. The DVD quality mode, 60 frames per second, is perfect for my needs. (I didn’t even realize it had a 60 fps mode when I bought it, but that’s the mode I use the most!). The HD modes are choppy at 30 fps and it only supports HD @ 30fps.
Bottom Line: If you want weekend videos for cheap, this thing is GREAT!
Cons:
1. There is no North American wall plug, it only comes with a European style plug. (But it charges just the same from a USB port and an iPhone wall charger works too! )
2. The zoom only focuses AFTER you stop zooming so it’s blurry during the zooming in/out. It’s not a big deal for my needs, but just be aware.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. The Veho while is a great value for an HD camera, you must record in 720P to enable the anti-jitter feature to get a decent handle held video recording. Also outdoor recording is difficult in bright sunlight as the screen is hard to see.
But then again for $159, it does get you clear HD videos with 5X zoom (while also hard to use in realtime). I’m keeping mine for the price, I’ll just use a tri-pod more and live with the limitations.
If you have kids and want to use it allot, you may want to set up to a higher priced unit.
